Sharon Cone was born on March 20, 1951 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Clarence Cone Sr. & Louise Cone at Newark Beth Israel Hospital.
Sharon was educated in the Newark Public School system, where she received her diploma from Central High School. After graduation she enlisted in the United States Army. Sharon served her country and received an honorable discharge, then decided to go back to school to become a nurse.
Sharon worked as a nurse for over 45 years which was one of her greatest passions, she worked at multiple healthcare facilities and loved her profession which she was amazing at. She decided to retire in 2013
Sharon was a devoted member and served as Grand Worthy Matron from 2005 to 2006 for the Saint James Chapter 58 Order of The Eastern Star.
After retirement, she spent most of her time with her sister Tricia, the two were inseparable. Many people thought that they were twins and referred to them as the “Golden Girls” from their signature short hairstyle….. when you saw one you saw the other.
Sharon enjoyed life and gave love to all that knew her, however she would put you in check if she needed to. She was known for dressing & her obsession for fashion as she would shop until she dropped.
Sharon‘s health started to decline rapidly within the past year. She expressed to her sister and best friend Tricia, she was tired and ready to go home. Sharon fought hard as she didn’t want to leave her best friend Tricia behind, unfortunately sharon succumbed to her illness on October 5, 2023.
Sharon was proceeded in death by her parents, Clarence and Louise Cone; brothers Reginald L. Cone and Lamont A. Cone.
Sharon leaves to mourn her beloved sister, Patricia Cone and brother Clarence Cone, Jr.
Sharon will be missed tremendously by her nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
